Book came a bit more worn than I anticipated. However, the book itself was a good read and helped me to complete my course.

By far my favorite textbook during this degree. I also have an older version from my master's degree prior but this updated one is great.

The book content itself is great. However, the book did come in a little dented. Not sure how to claim that but it did come quickly.

Used this for Psychology of Sport 320 and it's excellent at explaining theories and building onto one another. Honestly wish I had more time to read this book through my semester.

This little book if jam-packed with great information. Did you know that Athena was the favorite child of Zeus? That’s no small feat since Zeus had plenty children. The perfect guide for getting to know the Greek gods and goddesses, this small book is full of bright pictures and interesting information. Don’t let the cute drawings fool you into thinking this is a “baby book.” The information about myths found in this book are more detailed than some of the stuff I have seen in some textbooks. Also in comparison to those textbooks, this book is full of bright cartoon illustrations and humor. Even the bright colors of the cover will pull the attention of readers. Something else that makes this books such a great read is its scope. If you are interested in Greek mythology and ever wondered what the myths of Egypt or Norse legends might be like, this is again, the book for you. The book not only covers the myths of Greece; it also gives equally excellent profiles of the figures found in Norse legends and Egyptian mythology. If mythology seems fun to you, this is the perfect little handbook to read for more information on the subject. If you pass this book up, you’ll regret it almost as much as Odysseus regretted blinding the cyclops Polyphemus. In other words, you will regret it…big time! This book comes highly recommended and is a helpful tool for any young students of History, Social Studies, and Mythology.

I had to buy this calendar. I love Annie Lee and was sad to hear of her passing this year. This calendar was sent in a beautiful large envelope that is completely usable for holding items like photographs or greeting cards. I am excited to hang this calendar next month and look forward to seeing the beautiful Annie Lee art each month.

This was pretty pricey for a calendar, but I bought it as a gift for a friend and he absolutely loves it. Says it brings back memories of his childhood. The art work is wonderful and it is printed on very heavy paper that makes it suitable for framing.

I am such a fan of Annie Lee's work but it is hard to find her authentic pieces online. This calendar not only gives me a chance to look at various different pieces of her art work each month it also give bible scriptures and teaches me about Black history, that I may have otherwise w/o researching for myself, known about.

Annie Lee is my absolute favorite calendar artist. I order an Annie Lee calendar every year.

I initially read Howard's RFC2072, and later attended a CID course that he taught. He got off track at times in this book (just like the course), but always very worthwhile subjects. Howard has shown his depth of experience in Network Design, and this book enjoys a welcome spot on my technical bookshelf. If he publishes an advanced book on multi-homing issues with and without Firewalls, I'll definitely pick up a copy.

Great tool for implanting a clue about networking in just about anyone interested in the subject. Offers a very good discussion of IP implementations, although it doesn't forget about other protocols. In short: buy this book!

This was required for my Library Research Skills class at Montana State University, and is a really useful resource. Badke's writing is concise, non-trite, and his suggestions are intuitively applicable. He also includes some welcome wit to a sometimes dry subject. New editions are updated to include recent changes to everything research and web-oriented. Great book!!!

When you have to read 15 books in four months on the topics of research, thinking, and writing, you are very grateful to begin with an author who is both concise and humorous. I'm pleasantly surprised by this book, and it achieves exactly what this author intends -- prepares me to dive into my doctoral research program without making me want to run away and hide. Thank you, William Badke!

Excellent book that explains how to do academic research, prepare for writing a paper (if you have read enough that you can explain your topic for 1-minute to someone else, then you are ready to write your paper!), and all of the new databases that are available to use to find vetted articles. Mr. Badke writes in an easy-going manner, as a librarian and instructor. He also helps people through their anxiety with excellent pointers and insight.

William Badke has written an excellent and extremely useful reference book on how to start research projects. As he aptly describes, getting started is probably the most difficult part of a research project; especially for those of us who are new to the art of researching.The book is well written and referenced, with the author writing with a sense of humour and this also makes the book appealing since it could otherwise be a dry, boring book without the author's humour creeping into the pages.While the new-to-the-art-of-researching student will find this book very interesting and helpful; many experienced researchers will find the book helpful also. The author describes how to use various resources, such as internet, periodicals and catalogues to assist the researcher realise his/her project goals.In summary, a very well written and laid out book by a person very experienced in the the field of research. Definitely recommended for the novice researcher, however would also be useful for the advanced researcher. Well done, William Badke!

We live in the "information age". Communication on the information highway is fast pace. However, the problem is most of us don't have the map needed to travel that highway and so we have great challenges finding the destination. The material in Dr. Badke's book is the road map to the information highway. This book is the "GPS" to the information highway.If readers follow this guide, they should be able to access the information needed much quicker and easier. It will save students valuable time as they learn research skills and strategies needed (needed for college and universities assignments). It will also make the research more accurate, as the student learns how to access information written by the best scholars in the field. A small price to pay for a resource is worth so much.The author writes in an easy to read style. Hint: to get the most benefit out of this resource, take the time to do the practice exercises before getting involved in your actual research. If you do this, it should take you less time to do the actual research for your assignments. Try it. It works.

Badke's writing focuses on finding sources and writing research papers. The writing assumes no current knowledge of conducting research of any kind, so parts may be simplistic for many, but there is a wealth of great research strategies within.He begins with a look at paper design, and the place from which to begin your research. He then moves to database, periodical and internet searches. He then discusses how to formulate your research into a working topic, and organizing your data.He writes for people who have never really used a library effectively or used a computer for research. Overall, this is a superb introduction to research that should be read by anyone attempting research.

I gave this edition a full five stars for reasons too innumerable. However, the major reasons focus on backsliding or becoming too comfortable with one's procedures and knowledge. In the present age of false news and sleazy politicians, we need reminders of good form and proper research techniques.

I teach information literacy to students at a community college. I've been using this book as my class text for a few semesters. I like it very much, especially Badke's writing style. I think it is an esential text for anyone interested in accessing information that counts!

The seller of this product is amazing. However, the book itself is only okay. It was required reading for my Spirituality in nursing class, and honestly I was a bit disappointed. The book is mostly case studies, and has very little in actual nursing interventions and direct advice. It is more so a collection of nursing articles composed into a text book with 90% of the content in APA quotations, and very little original thought.

Every nurse needs to read this book and take a spirituality nursing class. I can apply things I learned from reading this book every day at work.

Great book, at a great price. All nurses should read. Health is mind, body and spirit!Thanks
