Content is very good, but the quality of the book itself is not. The cover is extremely thin as are the pages - the pages feel only slightly better than magazine pages. I have a bunch of this collection in my kids' book list, but not sure I'm actually going to buy more as the quality is really lacking. Was very surprised to have received Scholastic books of this quality. Definitely won't pay full price for anything in this collection. Again, the content is very good, much better than the actaul book.
History in a nutshell - great for 1 - 3 grades and beyond
I have used this book already to help teach US History to students with AdHd. They love the graphics and short summaries of information,.

Written so that children can read for themselves and understand. I bought this for my 9 yr old grandchild. My son-in-law thought that this was a great choice for the kids to read and learn.
I love this series of "True Books" on American History. The pictures are vivid and the facts are poignant. This is a gret series for teaching out of to kids who are just learning their American history. I use these excerpts from these books for my Constitution Week displays for a committee I'm belong to in Daughters of the American Revolution.
