Kindle version of this book in my opinion is really garbage. It's poorly formatted in regards to the reserved variable types, and explanations in terms of the size of different numerical data types. I know programming to a certain degree, so I bought this book to quickly see the structure in terms of the C# language for a project that I have to do later on.Speaking in terms of the actual content from learning this as a beginner, I highly recommend another book, primarily because this book is more catered to the assumption that you have alrerady learned another language, and as so already know the various terms that he quickyl goes over, but in terms of the features in regards to the c# language.If you want to actually learn the bread and butter of the data structures, methods, OOP, functions, and the use of these data types I highly recommend purchasing a different book, as this will not give the detail neccesary to truly understand these important concepts, and is a bare minimum skeletal model for intermediate programmers IMHO. I rate this as a 2 stars mainly because of the formatting issues with the kindle make it difficult to read from what I described earlier, but still has enough content to describe the features within the c# language.
This book taught me about the code blocks and some important things one has to keep in mind. By utilizing curly braces, we can synthesize statements into one statement termed a block statement or code block. It became clear to me that how it allows the grouping of many statements into a single one. Thanks to the author.

The book starts out okay, but is so riddled with editing errors that it makes it difficult to read. My system is an iPad Mini, so the formatting might differ on other devices. In any case, the tables were close to incomprehensible as they were rarely formatted correctly. The same went for the code, where the format and context were sometimes difficult to discern or downright misleading. In at least one case, the code referenced didn't exist and in another it was the wrong code. As an example, the "Null-conditional operator" was initially stated as "?." and then as ".?" -- which is it? And the examples for it were not clear, in fact they introduced a new concept without it being explained (in this case the "int? varName=null" concept). In addition, the flow of the narrative was rough, with word choices that were awkward. How many times can we be reminded that this is an "EBook"? This takes the reader out of the flow of reading -- very jarring. Midway through, the topic of garbage collection and memory management is covered in some detail. Although I personally found this interesting, I suspect a beginning C# book could have skimmed over these implementation details. The end of the book delved into more complex topics like Delegates, Lambda expressions etc. These topics are very tough to grasp, and this book rushes through them with convoluted (IMHO) examples and explanations. I will have to find another book to try to understand these topics.As an aside, I gave this book 3 stars (versus 2) as it did deliver a "light" supplemental introduction to C#, if you're willing to endure the bad editing. FYI, I have a long C++ background, so perhaps in this light I was able to "translate" the C# language features and concepts described in this book to similar items in C++ that I was already familiar with more easily than other new programmers might.
If you get annoyed by typos and grammatical errors as much as I do, this book is not for you! Pretty much every page has at least one mistake.
At the end of this book you will know how to code in C#. However, the grammar and sentence structures are not the best. This book is filled with many typos. Only purchase this book if you're an experienced programmer. This is a good book to get your feet wet in C# programming.
I'm using this book for review of C# because I haven't used it for several years. But the ebook just has too many errors to be useful for a beginner.
All reviews are fake. Hard to believe everyone is happy about book, where the only build in type explained is integer. But yes, it's about c#...
